Hi Sunny,
Before you do anything, try the method above (remove all pictures from your My Pictures folder).

If that doesn't work, head over here...

yea the removing of pictures from 'my pictures' eliminated the orbicam problem for me. i also downloaded the latest aim version and can now video chat with anyone that has it. However i still cannot video chat with macs. if anyone has any advice they can give i would appreciate it. i have read several tutorials to correcting this but they all apply to the windows xp os. so im a little stuck

Conrad,

Have you tried another software? Pidgin, MSN, Yahoo, or any others? If you have problem only with AIM6.1 chances are it's a localized problem .

Have a look at this thread which will show you how to correctly identify your own orbicam device. Once you've done that check the Acer support website to see if there is any update.
For BISON, the latest versions are: Driver v6.96.0.15a and application v1.0.0.19

Phil,

Simone's back with some solutions/recommendations and you're the first on the list:

Phil, could you let me know exactly which Orbicam you have? You can see how to find out in the main section of this post.
Your problem seems to be related to the folder where Orbicam stores the screenshots. Try to move them to another folder first.

Hi Conrad,

Sorry, I've been going through the backlog and only just got to you.

Have you seen this post?

Even better, have you tried removing the pictures from your My Pictures folder? Just a thought...

i read all these posts and have found to use link to software in the directory to work. However i have issues using this as a webcam. I have been searching fora solution to use this with AIM 6.1 the connection randomly works but usually not. If anyone has had issues with this that could give some advice. im not sure if it is becasue of a connection or if its related to the camera's faulty programming. Thanks

I have the acer aspire 3680 and when my orbicam stopped working I unistalled it to reinstall it again, but when I downloaded it from acer's website, it downloads but won't install and keeps coming up with the message: the following error occurred on the file 'C:\Windows\BUVC_AP\Acer92ed.rra'. Access is denied. (0x5)

So why is it doing that? :(

Is there any other way I can reinstall it again? :(

Please help me x
