Sooner or later someone was going to put it this way. Didn’t think I would find it so comical. Or disturbing….
Coding Sanity has an article up about how he, well, upgraded to XP.
I hope this doesn’t go beyond 15 Diggs…

Well let me say that I am a little bit disappointed by the linux distribution on the Aspire One I bought some months ago.
I have been through the issues of installing skype, upgrading to Firefox 2 , installing Thunderbird …. but this is so full of troubles that I do not dare go further.
The big issue for me is the update with the never ending waiting in from of the retrieving software window. The upgrade is not easy at all… and yum never worked !?! when I tried to use it.
So yes I am not surprised to see people talk about upgrading to XP, nothing to do with Linux but with the Aspire One distrib, I am afraid.
Or did I miss something?
Sincerely yours
(Great Site by the way)
