I had used it only with msn. and I don't have Skype in my notebook. The web cam would some times work on msn and sometimes not but I could always use it to take photos or make videos. But now I can't even do that. Every time I click it, it says 'video capture device not found' and when I try to use it with messenger it says something like 'your web cam and speakers are already in use.....etc' Thanks for your help =) Safia Asfand Hey Michael! that’s alright. Took advantage of Christmas break to change a whole bunch of things which took me offline for a while. Not sure about the reasons but I'm remembering something strange with Linux/Messenger/Webcam. What messenger service are you using? If I'm not mistaken, it's not compatible with Yahoo - not sure about the rest. Also have you tried the webcam with Skype? Or an online service like Seesmic? I did find 'recovery XP' in settings but it doesn't do anything. I don't have any USB stick for recovery. btw I am very glad that this site an active one.
