Thanks so much for this - bought my laptop about 4 years ago and having never needed the password since I hadn't a clue what it was! Had to do it twice as my first password was 6 letters so it didn't take, but it's now fine so I'm able to update programmes - thankyou, thankyou, thankyou!!! x

@Morris Lee
I have an Aspire one Netbook ZG5.

When I pwr on it ask for a password.
If I F2 still goes straight Password.
F12 also the same.

How can I get past this to reset the password. I never had this before it just started on its own.

Is there a diff safemode or dos option for password reset?

Please any help you can provide would be great.
