Just a quick update on the Acer Kick Off for those of you who don’t follow my Twitter updates.
I’m only here for the morning session but already there have been some pretty amazing announcements.
So far, Gianfranco Lanci, JT Wang, Jim Wong and Gianpiero Morbello have given speeches and we’ve heard about market developments, product development, new technologies and how Acer intends to leverage the three brands (Acer, Packard Bell and Gateway) in 2009.
We’ve also got the Olympic sponsorship finally underway. It’s one hell of a opportunity and I can’t wait to talk about it more with you.
Gotta get back to following the presentations. Hope to update more soon.

Cant wait to hear more regarding the up and coming advances and breakthroughs that ACER has up its sleeve..!!
And this coming from someone who is a loyal acer fan for many years..!!

ohh, talking about loyalty eh? maybe we should have a poll about the number of loyal years(eg. number of years that you have always been using acer) HE HE…… if that is the case, I’d probably make it for 6 years(I started fiddling with computers since 2001, got acer in 2003)
Most acer computers I have owned all at once was 5 Acer laptops(crazy no?)

Loyalty eh?
Well I’ve been working for Acer since 1998, so that puts me comfortably in the lead, although I do have more grey hairs than anyone here too
I also have to say that at an event like this, they talk about Acer as the Acer/PackardBell/Gateway trio.
I’ve seen some flagship notebooks from Acer which are really high end coming in the next few months but don’t write off Packard Bell though. That company’s going through a real revolution right now and the products coming out this year are SERIOUSLY HOT!
Shame you’re in the States though Morris
Packard Bell is Europe-only.

@Michael,
Of course we can’t beat you in the loyalty contest, you even have a website designated for acer customers!

HAHAHA.
Fooled all of you. This site is for the Acer management! It’s a (not-so) secret attempt to get them to notice the power, solidarity, value and sheer generosity of the Acer community.
In other words people like you.

Michael…do you have any contact information for the media agency that Acer Int’l is using in Italy? They’re called Circle Line…or something to that effect, but there’s no information about it located any where…
Michael Walsh wrote, on August 12th, 2009:
Hi Bill,
It’s the agency I work for and you’re right about the name.
You’ll find the link here but I’d wait until the end of August before contacting them – they’re all on holiday.
Unless of course I can help…
Bill Hanck wrote, on August 13th, 2009:
Thank you Michael…
My apologies, I just wrote you another email to the same effect…didn’t see your reply to my first one. I very much appreciate the intelligence as I’m literally starting cold on this account.
Are you on the account or the media side? And, if it’s the former, do you have anyone on the media side you’d recommend I speak with?
Cheers!…and thanks again.

Good Morning Michael…
Are you able to point me in the direction of the media contacts who are working on the Acer account in the US?
And, for future communication, is there an email address that I should be using?
Please feel free to send those directly to my inbox at bhanck@techtarget.com
My thanks again for your help!
