Adobe Dreamweaver not loading on an Acer? Here’s a solution

Anyone having a problem with Adobe Dreamweaver not loading on an Acer, it is caused by a conflict with the Acer eDataSecurity Management program a patch is available here http://www.egistec.com/oem-acer001/program-update.html
It fixed it on my Aspire 8920G.”

thx for the patch it worked in the beginning but after selecting a file to open in windows explorere ( an image ) it closed down as it was doing before i patched it !! and since then its been the same i tried installing the patch again but its just not working again !!! please can you work somefin out !

I had the same problem with installing dreamweaver and I decided about a year ago to remove the AcerDataSecurityManagement. After that it worked fine.

many many thanks. i’ve spent a week talking to adobe tech support. i thought that i had just wasted €500 on a product that didn’t work. this was an instant fix !! and adobe tech support should bring you in to educate their employees. such a great relief to get up and running!
