Acer neoTouch (S200) review

Just came across this review of the all-new neoTouch S200 from the guys at PhoneArena.
Just saw the comments and the phone list with Steve Balmer, Bill Gates, Steve jobs and Megan Fox is pretty funny. Anyway, the review is the best one I’ve found so far (until The Acer Guy reviewers finally get off the ground) so you’ll just have to make do.
Also I’m curious as to why the reviewer says it doesn’t support Facebook (2′ 38″). As far as I know it does and it’s pre-installed. Has Acer’s Facebook API been disabled?

nice hardware, but WinMo 6.5 seems to be a disappointment.

Too bad still using the stylus… One is still required to use two hands for one phone…

Believe it or not I haven’t had the chance to play with one yet although I’m kind of thinking this is more what business users will want.
If you’re heavily into social media on your phone then wait and see the Liquid…

Hello new friends–I just recieved my NeoTouch and like all new WinMo devices and especially with a new model -AND- new OS; I have mixed feelings
First the device is solid and fairly stylish if not a little utilitarian (+ fingerprint magnet, however). Second it is screamingly fast –the screen is big and beautiful and the Acer WinMo overlay is simple and effective.
The speaker volume is tinny, buzzy, and inaudably low (a hallmark of Eten/Glofiish and now Acer I guess)–BT volume is quite good though.
Super Problem #1–Does not wake up to BT headset while using MS Voice Command nor does it initiate the program
Super Problem #2—my TomTom Nav6 doesn’t work seemingly because it doesn’t know how to utilize the larger screen area (a problem that affects but doesn’t render completely useless Slingbox as well)
Super Problem#3—I can’t register my device as the Acer USA site doesn’t even have a “pull-down” menu selection for the NeoTouch and the other sites don’t recognize my SN—-all Acer phone info useless.
My hope and experience having had 5 previous Eten/Glofiish phones is that Acer ROM upgrades and/or private Chef patches will solve many of these issues.
Overall this unit and OS is a good, fast, inexpensive platform awaiting perfection
Regards
Stoma

Update—-
Just updated ROM from Singapore site—unit is much louder now :0
Now using CoPilot Live 8 GPS which was only $19.00 with US map -and is a download rather than delivery by mail—works great with NeoTouch screen resolution
HJave been contacted by Acer in regards t omy registation issues and am waiting to hear back
Unit still does not wake to BT headset so tha tis my only concern remaining

I Purchased the S200 from Clove Technology on October 7, had lot of problem. The good part is that Clove Technology guys have supper customer service and I sent the phone back. Here is the list of problems:
1- Occasionally phone did not wake up from standby.
2- Sound quality is horrible
3- Phone will reset itself time to time.
4- Bluetooth will not keep the partnership setting and if you leave the Bluetooth on, it will lock the phone and have to reset the device.
Upgraded the ROM from Acer website to EN 2.00.3
Phone booted up fine and sound quality was improved. Worked for a few days and then start locking up again. If you reset the phone than it will hang on Orange Windows logo and reset it self. If you perform reset about 10 times than it might boot up once and lock itself again.
The good:
ATT 850MH 3G worked on this model. If you are in US make sure you get phone with manufacturer part number: XP.H470N.007
