Here’s an interesting test I’ve never seen done and had to have explained before I got it.
The video is called “HTC HD2 Vs Acer neoTouch – Coreplayer BENCHMARK” and reading the comments, it appears that “Both the devices are extremely fast in rendering videos. Acer is a little bit faster.”
So now you know…

Hey Acer Guy,…
Every phone can now play videos
The back of the Neo Touch got scratched in less than 15 minutes after unpacking… I just put it on the table…and there it was…a scratch. Any plans to use higher quality material?…
I would love to see some improvements on the interface side as well….this interface it looks like has been “patched” instead of rebuilt… many screens are the plain old windows screens…the problem is that the windows screens are difficult to use with fingers… and taking out the stilus…is not so convenient…
Check this review about the HTC HD2…there is a video on the interface! Amazing!
Would love to see that on an Acer phone!
Keep up the good work…

@Fan I was referring to the test…..
Funny you should mention the scratching – I just had a presentation of the 2010 products and one of the things they addressed was the battery covers which are all going to be in soft touch materials.
Fear not, I had an iPhone (before my Liquid replaced it!) and that scratched just by breathing on it. Get a good case (I use a leather pouch) and hope for the best…
I saw the review. Not bad at all considering it runs on Windows. It’ll certainly need that 1GHz Snapdragon chip…
Apparently, from what the suits giving the 2010 product presentation said, WinMo 7 has been designed and redesigned to make it more “finger friendly”. I have a Tablet on loan with Win7 and the point of contact on the screen is about the width of a hair but my finger isn’t so it’s almost impossible to use. The stylus is dead and WinMo 7 should see to that.

for the gentleman asking about HD2 interface on neotouch, yes its possible and its available NOW! I get my neotouch in a couple days and the first thing i’m doing is putting the HTC HD2 rom on it. I will have all the niceties of the HD2 interface and none of the hardware drawbacks. I always keep my phones in a holster so, I’m not worried about scratching.
I managed never to scratch my 3GS that way and i’m hoping it will work with the neotouch too.
Also, I will be getting ATT 3G with the neotouch; that’s something you can’t do with the HD2. I have looked closely at specs of virtually all phones as well as frequency bands. If you are an ATT user, then there is not comparison. The Neotouch is the most superior phone you can get right now. A draw back might be the resistive screen, but that’s really subjective.
I live in chicago and it gets cold here. I often have to wear gloves. I can’t use iphone with gloves on, but neotouch I can. I wear thin gloves, so smaller icons or on screen keyboard isn’t that bad.
I almost bought an acer liquid b/c I really want android. But, I decided to pass until flash finally gets released for it.
xda-developers just opened an official neotouch forum. That means that I will be getting all kinds of roms, mods, tips, tricks, and help. I just can’t see a downside. Lets not forget to mention that after looking into it, the neotouch battery life is better than HD2. Seems the .2″ difference helps alot w/battery life.
Hopefully I won’t regret my purchase. But, after having an Iphone 3GS w/all its limitations (even jailbroken), I can’t see a downside.
I still haven’t found a credible argument about why any other phone is better for the money than the neotouch.
I’m not a fanboy, I haven’t even gotten it yet. I’m just using common sense from looking at benchmarks, videos, reviews, and xda-developers website.

Apart from battery life, (which can be improved with several tweaks / Long life battery) what hardware drawbacks are there to the HD2?
