Envy MacBooks with 2 finger easy scrolling on the touchpad? I have a gift for you all!
With this driver, you can have 2 finger scrolling, chiral motion scrolling, momentum, 3 finger flick, 3 finger launch. Best of all, it works well with the Launch Manager patch!
you can see it in action in my video here:

I like this one. does the patch work with 32 bit win7?
Morris Lee wrote, on June 24th, 2010:
@adm15,
Sorry, this is the 64 bit version for now.
Morris Lee wrote, on June 24th, 2010:
Just so everyone know, I am going to start moving to 64 bit software and drivers now as it is very optimized for most software we use nowadays anyways.

Morris you are such a legend.
Please please please keep the mods, tips and tricks coming.
Just curious – was the hdd caddy heavier than the DVD drive in the end? Also, was it hot swappable and did it have to be a laptop hdd?
Can you tell me where I could get one of those remotes for the express card slot?
Awesome stuff.

Hello, i´m from Brasil, and i would like to know, where i buy this remote control express card for acer 5920. if possible, i would to, if the scrybe software run in win7 32, i´ve downloaded at synaptics site and i can´t make run. Thanks a lot…
Morris Lee wrote, on July 3rd, 2010:
@Matheus Genaro,
You can get the remote from ebay, loop for the ones for HP, they should work just fine.
What do you mean by the Synaptics site? if you have 5920, just use the driver I have proivided above.

Thanks for your information about the remote control. I try to install the driver that you provide above, but my win 7 is 32bits, and your drive is for win 7 64bits. Do you have the win 7 32 bits drive?

Hi, Morris, me again…. Sorry about, but this one in the link would work. Thanks a lot… http://produto.mercadolivre.com.br/MLB-145946682-controle-remoto-notebook-hp-dv2000-novo-_JM

@Matheus Genaro,
Sorry, I don’t have time to look into 32bit version right now, and I might never get to it. you should consider moving to 64 bit anyways, 32 bit software runs just fine on 64 bit with the 32-64 bit layer compatibility, so there shouldn’t be anything you should worry about.
The link you provided with the remote looks like mine, I think it will work, but not all buttons work with the acer machine remember!

hi,
your driver is great and works great. thanks. may i know what hp remote model number the one you use in the video or any other express card remote which works( even better if there is a acer one).
i was wondering how to change the function which opens up notepad to off the monitor like you did in your video? thank you
Morris Lee wrote, on July 7th, 2010:
@raj,
I don’t think it should be an issue as to which remote it is, it should be all universal, especially the play pause, stop, forward etc buttons. They are standard IR remote buttons. you can also get a full sized ones. I don’t have the remote model, and I removed the sticker on the bottom anyways as it was falling off.
to change to turn off the monitor, you need a simple program that turns off the display, and I have made one before, I will find sometime to upload it to box.net as you just showed that there is a interest to the general public.
All you do is replace to start notepad.exe, change it to the exe I made, then you are golden.

Anyway is it possible with your modification to turn it on, and link maybe Imgburn to it perhaps.

This is a good mod for us still inlove with the 5920G! Thanks Morris!
However, my LuxPad is not anymore listed under the device settings to configure the MediaTouch buttons. But the MediaTouch tab is present.

does this work with windows vista x86???
Morris Lee wrote, on October 29th, 2010:
Sorry, only 64bit drivers for now, it should only work with vista x64 and 7 x64.

@mike
it’s working on my 5920g (windows 7 64-bit). could you update me if your LuxPad is still listed in the Synaptics Device Settings tab after this patch?
Morris Lee wrote, on November 5th, 2010:
@Mathew,
This should still keep luxpad working but not listed so you cant customize the touch keys like the other 5920 touchpad driver floating around

you are a very tallent man, you should have a list of software for 5920g.
Morris Lee wrote, on November 27th, 2010:
@Luis Serpa,
I only have 2 patches for the 5920, one is the lm patch, on is the multitouch driver. Maybe I will put both in a box.net folder

Hello i just got this remote:
http://cgi.ebay.com/HP-RC6-REMOTE-CONTROL-RC1762301-00-407313-001-SILVER_W0QQitemZ350410054508QQ
Is there any way to make it work on mine 5920G (vista 32 bit)?
Or i have to install win7 x64 and your touchpad driver?
Morris Lee wrote, on December 16th, 2010:
@MaLLy,
That remote should work, most of the HP remotes work with Acer ones anyway, don’t expect the special keys to work other than the generic ones like play pause etc.
You should consider vista or 7 x64 bit, if you have vista 32 bit, you can upgrade to 64bit free of charge with the same CD-Key
however, you should just move to Windows 7 if you are considering a new install.

Thx for answer.
But this remote doesn’t work with my 5920G.
Remote is OK (blinks in camera) but nothing happens.
Maybe my CIR is dead. Is there any method to test it?
Morris Lee wrote, on December 19th, 2010:
@MaLLy,
You can check if the CIR is enabled properly, click start -> right click on “Computer” and click Properties -> Click device manager on the left. Under “Human Interface Devices” see if you got a device with a brand name starts with N and has CIR label on it, check if it is not disabled, or driver not installed etc.
MaLLy wrote, on December 21st, 2010:
Driver is installed, and cir enabled. But remote dosent work witch vista.
And i know that hardware is ok becouse i can power up my laptop by using this remote.
Only this works – power up…
My CIR in device manager is shown as:
“winbond cir transciever”. is it a wrong driver?

Hi. I have an acer Aspire 5920G, with ·RAM=3.
I’ve installed Windows 7 and also your driver, but the touchpad doesn’t work. Can you help me?. I’m a complete idiot with computers. Probably I’ve installed W7 64 version and should have installed the 32 version. Could be this the reason?
