Bravura Easy Computer Sync review

Hello everyone, it’s been a while since I reviewed or wrote an article for you guys, but I’ve been asked to introduce the future of easy LAN connection – Bravura Easy Computer Sync™. This product allows you to transfer files directly from one PC to another using USB specification, in other words, you can now [...]

Ferrari One, the world’s most exclusive netbook

I’ve been dropping hints since August when I wrote the minisite web content and penned the first draft of the launch presentation but no-one got it. Acer this week launched what I boldly called “the world’s most exclusive netbook”, The Ferrari One. OK, I don’t have any official pictures (yet) but Trusted Reviews got to [...]

The thing about causes…

The idea of dedicating a section of TheAcerGuy to worthy causes has been sitting at the back of my mind for a while and as I mentioned in a previous post, Emily’s mail from Earthrace really snapped it into focus. However, before you find yourself faced with a little old lady armed with a collection [...]

A new notebook for the Earthrace initiative

I thought you guys would appreciate something altogether new.

The Acer Guy has been sitting here for the past three years building up a community of supporters all helping Acer customers out across the world. We’ve gained a lot of traction and have done more than I ever imagined for the social media cause. Thing is I’ve been thinking that there’s a lot more to social media than sorting out personal issues and expanding Acer’s brand footprint.

Terminal man uses an Aspire Timeline

Just got wind of an internal mail about Wired’s Terminal Man – aka Brendan Ross.

Wired (foolishly?) purchased the pass for him, requiring that he fly or stay in airports continuously for a month and then write about his experiences.”

Why oh why am I writing about this here?

If you’ve ever wondered what I do…

I’m the one who comes up the with titles like puREDesire (the new corporate payoff for Packard Bell) time=weight3 (Timeline) .sign.of.the.time. (launch event title) as well as a few other things… When it comes together, like it did on 9th April 2009 in Amsterdam when Acer launched the new Packard Bell logo and corporate colors, [...]

A bit of good news.

OK, just a quick update on the Reviews section. I’m really happy to announce that we’ve been given the green light to have AcerGuy readers review new Acer products. This is fantastic news as a) it leverages the real voices and opinions of the community we’ve built up over the past three years, b) it [...]

Acer Aspire Timeline 4810T review

Just found this very nice review of the Aspire Timeline 4810T by Geekanoids. It should answer a lot of your questions. This is great, but I’m still wondering when one of The Acer Guy readers will send me their own review though… Enjoy!

Acer Revo meets Ice Age…

Not quite sure where this sits with marketing and trademarks but this is a long way from what I’m used to seeing. Acer Taiwan apparently have an ad running for the Acer Revo but they’ve decided to use a clip from Ice Age to show it. In the words of the Japanese synth-pop king, Yukihiro [...]
