   After working flawlessly for 6 months my 6930G suddenly freezes when playing brand new blu ray discs in both acer arcade deluxe and power dvd 9 ultra. acer arcade deluxe downloaded an update recently....could this be the problem? the discs aren't scratched cos they're brand new. sometimes just moving the mouse on the dvd title screen causes it to freeze. i have to hold the power button to get it going again. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

   updated to latest nvidia driver and thought it had fixed the problem but then it froze again 10 mins into the show. any more suggestions?

   Can you find Acer Arcade Deluxe installer inside the eRecover Management?
   Remove current Acer Arcade Deluxe and use the default (old) version.

   thanks that seemed to work. why would the new version be causing problems with the 6930G?

   dunno.
   what I know is that new version is not always the best for your hardware.

   just sharing my experience, last week I had problem with my 6292, it crashed when playing WMV file. I use older intel graphic driver and the problem gone.

   So do with my 8920G. I update my BIOS to the latest v1.14 but causes BSOD 2 times. Then I restore back to v1.13 and all back to normal.

   and... it can also happen to software, including Arcade Deluxe.
