   Anyone? Acer Aspire 5920 shows nothing on the laptop LCD panel but does to an External monitor. It is not the Fn F5 issue. The LCD and male connector are OK (tried another LCD and OK). It is something on the motherboard. Anyone seen this before? I am an electronics engineer and used to tracking faults but looking for a pointer on this motherboard. Thank you all.

   You said you tried another LCD and that was working [not speaking about the external one] ?

   Anyway, test the original LCD in another 5920 and see if it works. Also, test another LCD into the original Laptop and see if that works.
   Mainboard problems would not give you a visual on a external screen, as would a faulty graphics card - I assume this is not a unit with a graphics card, as the 5920 and 5920G are different ?
