acer 6930g and 5 in 1 card reader problem
(4 posts)-
hi.
i have an acer 6930g which i upgraded to windows 7. Everything was working fine but suddendly when i insert my sd cards from my canon camera, a message to format the card pops up instead of ZoombrowserEX( canon program)which used to pop up on autoplay to let me download the images. If i click format, it says card cannot be formatted. This just suddenly happened....I have used the same cards after installing windows 7 and they worked fine up until now. Anyone have the same problem or any suggestions? I have installed latest driver from Acer website but same problem:Posted 2 years ago # -
Be sure that you've installed the canon software correctly. They may not have gotten their Windows 7 software together yet. As well if you are being prompted to format the card try it in another computer to make sure the card still works. If it does try using the microsoftupdate.com website to update your card reader drivers.

The cards work fine in other pc's and laptops and in my camera. I have downloaded and installed new drivers, old drivers, etc and still the same. And i havereinstalled the canon software( which worked fine before even after the windows 7 upgrade) and still same problem. I am stumped!

Un-install the drivers for your card reader and then re-install them. They may not be working properly.
