   Hey there, i have a problem with my Acer 7720G machine. Sometimes when rebooting or turning on my machine, the screen wont boot, everything else boots. I can hear the Vista startup sound but no screen is showing. So i either have to turn it on and off until the screen finally boots, or just leave it for a period of time. This is very annoying, especially when updating driver.

   I have tried updating the bios for it, and it still is the same.

   Is there any way to fix this without sending it in for repairs?

   Unlikely, from what you've described I'd imagine that there's a loose connection or a damaged display interface cable on your unit. Just bad luck there, it randomly happens every so often. I see it maybe twice a year over 1000+ laptops.
