   Hi All,
   I have an Acer 8920g (Acer gemstone Series). For some reason I cannot get any bly-ray disc to work on my laptop. I have tried Spider man 3, Black hawk Down and even the demo disc provided but every time the disc fails to run.It seems like the bd-drive cant read the disc.

   And manually opening the drive from 'my computer' pops up a message saying - Insert Disc. I'm using Acer arcade duluxe 2.5.7130 & have also installed power DVD 10 but no result

   My setting:
   acer aspire 8920g - Core 2 Duo t9300 2.5ghz
   4gb ram
   nvidia geforce 9500m GS - driver version: 257.21.

   Any help will be greatly appreciated...

   same on me 8920g. even i have orig BD demo stikk insert disk shows. any solution on these?

   Neither of you have said if your BD drives can read standard definition discs, and cd's.

   I'd check that.
   Second, have you the Blu-Ray DVD decoder installed.

   I think I vaguely recall some users lost use of their BD drives after upgrading to Win 7. It should all be resolvable though, given the right treatment. Otherwise your drives may have become faulty, sorry.
