   Member

   I have an Acer Aspire 3000 Series laptop.After approx.1 1/2 to 2 hrs.it will go into standby mode.I have set both hibernate and standby to never,removed,cleaned and replaced the fan,done a system restore and as a final desperate attempt,I used my recovery disks.All to no avail.How do I fix this?

   Be sure to update your video card drivers to the latest version. This will solve most issues related to hibernation. As well be sur to have all of your updates for windows. Check http://www.microsoftupdate.com to ensure you've got everything. You'll have to check a couple times most likely since you've just done a system restore.
