    Hi everyone!

Yesterday I came back from a 10 day vacation, I started my AA1 (Linpus Linux OS) and "Live Update" ran automatically. After everything was installed, wireless internet stopped working (but it works with my other computer).

    The updates installed were:

    networkmanager (180076)
    operating system (180074)
    gnome-media (180081)
    ucview (180079)
    Live Update (180075)
    q101 3G modem (180080)
    printer (180073)

Has this happened to anyone? I've looked through the current topics and haven't found anything related. Can anyone help me to solve the problem? Thank you in advance.

    Hi,

    Got the same problem.

I assume at some point you downloaded WPA2-Enterprise.tar.gz so you could connect to wifi networks with WPA-Enterprise?

If so, you can re-run the script "wpa2-enterprise.sh" and re-boot it should solve the problem, well it worked for me!

    Cheers.

    Hi nightmusic!

Thank you for your answer. However, I don't know much about computers. I bought the AA1, I followed the instructions in the following link:

    http://www.reghardware.co.uk/2008/09/05/ten_aspire_one_tips/

to get started because I hadn't worked with Linux before and just have run "Live Updated" since then.

So I don't know if I have downloaded WPA2-Enterprise.tar.gz and I don't know how to run the script "wpa2-enterprise.sh".

Could you explain it to me as a beginner? Thank you very much in advance and sorry for my little knowledge.

    Hi,

Ok, I'm not sure what the problem is for you.

Have a search for the file I mentioned "wpa2-enterprise.sh", using the search facility on the main page. But I'm guessing that it isn't the problem. If you do find it, open "xterm", cd to that folder and type ./wpa2-enterprise.sh

Looking at the site you suggested I can't see anything there that would have modified your network manager.

If you made a recovery disk you could try re-installing that, to get back to the original configuration. But you will probably lose any tweaks you have made since then. Of course backup any data files first!

Otherwise I would probably wait a day or two and see if any other users have the same problem.

Sorry can't be more help - my linux skills are rather limited, though I'm learning...

    Cheers.

    Hi,

Me again. Just found this page...

    http://www.experts-exchange.com/OS/Linux/Q_24312324.html

Hope that helps... doesn't give a very technical description but you may be able to get some help from them...

    Cheers.
