    I just bought a Revo 3610 couple of weeks ago and i am having a issue with the wifi connection.I have a Cisco WRT610N dual band router and it is only showing one network as compared to 2 and if is not connection to the network properly it keeps connecting and disconnecting every few seconds.

    I never had a problem like this with any other device on my network before.I have updated the driver to the most current one but the problem remains the same.

    looking for some help with this

    most likely you have the atheros wireless card. It supports N @ 2.4GHz, but does not support 5GHz. which is why you only see 1 "band".

    as for connection issues, try no encryption and see if it connects. if it does, tweak the WPA settings to see if you can get the connection to remain stable.

    also try a different channel/sub-channel to see if that helps, also don't rule out 20MHz/40MHz bonding issues.

    I have checked in the properties and my wifi card is ralink technologies and not the atheros one.

    how about if i just use the WEP instead of WPA.

    How can i do the follow you mentioned in your reply

    "try a different channel/sub-channel to see if that helps, also don't rule out 20MHz/40MHz bonding issues."

    I had the same problem with mine.. I found out that the wireless card inside is horrible for signal strenght. Since there is no external antennae the signal is weak.

    The fix was to purchase a cheap USB N wireless adapter. Once I did that, I am happily streaming movies and podcasts on my 52" Sony LCD.

    It wasn't what I wanted to do - go buy another wireless adapter. But it was worth the purchase. No more frustrations.

    Does anyone know what the max RAM is on a 3610?

    I wanted to add my $.02 also.

    I purchased a 3610 and was also experiencing very strange connection issues on my G network. I was able to get an external adapter to work just fine, I tried all the different drivers available from Acer and even upgraded the firmware on my router but still experienced dropped connections and horrible/non-existent browsing capabilities.

    Pretty much gave up and returned the Revo for another one only to discover it wasn't a 'faulty' network adapter as it was having the same issues.

    Read the above post about the different channels so I switched my router from Auto to 11 (didn't work), 10 (didn't work) but finally channel 9 did the trick!

    Gonna go through the other channels and run through some speed tests to see if any are faster, but just wanted to point this out as I couldn't find this addressed anywhere else on the web.

    I have testing with 3 unit of acer pc. The setup environment is 1 access point with bgn capability. And 3 unit is connected to the access point.

    using wireless N(default)
    someunit having poor wireless performance. Sometimes good, sometimes not. Event sometimes not connected to the access point. Frustrating.

    using wireless G
    still having isses. High ping rate and request time out when making ping to gateway.

    using wireless B
    Wow, performance become better. no more time out. Ping less then 10ms. And number of request time out reduce dramatically.

    From above 3 result. I would suggest that either you force your wireless to B or buy other wireless adpater.

    Updating the firmware on the router itself, available from linksys, and the driver to the wireless card just may fix the issues you're having. It's well worth trying as it's free.
