   I have an Acer TravelMate 4720 that has been completely formatted. I don't have the restore CD, but I do have an original XP Pro CD.

   While trying to set up XP Pro on the system, it says it can not find any hard drives. I see that I might need to install a SATA driver, but can't get that working either. Most of the driver install says I need a floppy disk to use while installing Windows and pressing F6. The TravelMate does not have a floppy drive. I've tried from a USB flash drive and a CD as alternatives, but setup can't find those files either..

   I was able to install Ubuntu with no problems on the computer, and was hoping I could just install XP Pro over that, but no luck with that either!

   Is there something I'm missing?? Any help would be appreciated!

   I've tried removing Ubuntu and starting fresh, but Windows setup simply can not find the hard drive..
