While I've had my 8920G opening swapping disks around, I noticed there's a slot for a TV tuner.

This is available as a spare part, but does anyone know how easy it is to fit? I'd have thought it needed a connection for an external aerial and can't see that that would be easy to hook up.

Has anyone added one or have a 8920G with TV tuner and can say how/if the aerial is connected?

Otherwise I'll just stick to my USB TV tuner.

    Thanks.

you can add a tv tuner, however you would need to modify the lowercase. there is also a special board for the external antenna connection that would have to be added.

you can use internal antenna, but the reception will not be as good.

Acer only provided a TV tuner on European models and uses a DVB-T tuner made by avermedia. The A-309 if I remember correctly.

I am in the UK so it would work. However, it sounds like more work than is warranted. Think I'll stick to my USB DVB-T stick.

    Thanks for the info.
