hi was just wondering what kind of laptop hard drive caddy would i need to add another hard drive to my acer 8920g.

I will be adding an additional HTS545032B9A300 , but apparently it needs some sort of cover to plug it into the secondary bay. Any ideas where i could get this kind of enclosure?

    UK based if that helps.

From the service manual, yes it does look like you will need a small metal case for the harddrive to stay in place, however, you might be able to get away with few pieces of thin cardboards to fit the spaces.

I am also about to install a 2nd hard drive in my 8920G, do I just need a sata hard drive only?

I have seen some threads on the 6920 needing adapters, brackets and cover doors.

Do I need anything other than the drive for the 8920?

    Many thanks

i added a 2nd 640gb hd to my 7730 and used a hp adapter which i slightly modded cost me $5 aud instead of acer parts $50

"Compaq Presario V3000 SATA Hard Drive Caddy Connector"

something like this for about $5-10
