   I've had a few problems with my parnter's acer and after a clown masquerading as a computer repair guy had hold of it, the wifi seems to have packed up.
   The repair guy swears it's not him, but then he also swears the mysterious missing 2Gb of memory is nothing to do with him either.
   But anyway...
   Device manager claims the card is there (Intel Pro 3945ABG), and working normally (yes, I know), but when you go into vista (yes I know ok) and start up networking, it claims that the wifi is switched off.
   Problem is when I push the wireless button on the keyboard, the screen displays "no device".

   Is there another way to start the wireless on this model? Alternatively how does the wireless card connect up to the button? Presumably even if I replace the card I still need to connect up to this control?
