    Hi everyone,
I am looking for a solution so that i can connect a camcorder to my pc and capture the video. Having no DVI input, i was wondering if there is some form of extension or cable change that can be done so as i can get my home movies onto DVD.
Please help i have been searching the net for 2 days now.

Having worked at Fry's I used to recommend a certain method of doing it, but I'm forgetting now...

I assume your camcorder uses a Mini-DV tape or some other form of taped storage. Not HDD or MMC card. In that case, without some special tools, you usually have to take it to a specialist.

There are tools out there that can transfer the output of your tape to a computer using a small USB-interfaced device and software. These cost about $49-$99, hardware included. They are usually USB to the computer and composite (Red White Yellow) to the camcorder, using the device to interface the two. They're fairly simple to use, but you have to play the tape in real time from the camcorder.

That's about all I can think of...
