   I've had my Aspire 6930 laptop for about a year now and all of a sudden IE starts flippin out and popping up massive amounts of yahoo internet pages (homepage). I thought it was a software problem so I installed windows 7 and erased all my previous data but the problem still exist. I read about the Launch manager solution and tried it but it still happens every once in a while. Any advice?

   It sounds like your touchpad itself might be going bad.

   But first, run a spyware program like Ad-Aware. If it's still doing it after removing malware, then try updating the touchpad drivers.

   If that doesn't work...I hate to say it, but it's probably a hardware issue. Hook up an external mouse.
