Aspire 6930/6930Z Not Starting At All
(6 posts)-
I recently got a new Acer Aspire 6930/6930Z. After installing all my needed programs, I let it open for a whole day for the windows update to be made. The next day, when I tried booting the laptop, I had a screen showing up directly after booting, giving me technical informations about the computer, but at the end I had "Mouse Missing ERROR". I had 2 options on screen, F1 Resume, or F2 Setup. Since I have little knowledge about Acer, I prefered pressing F1 (I didn't to mess up in the options), the computer rebooted by himself and showed me the same page, so I pressed F1 once more, it then restarted and now the screen stays black all the time and when you hear the computer starting up as it should do, I hear 2 "bips" coming from it (from what I hear it comes from the CD player, weird). Now everytime I try to boot it, it does the exact same thing. I tried to pull the AC and the battery out to let it rest, 1 hour later I tried again but I got the exact same result. Can anybody help?

alt+F10 to start a recovery. However, the HDD could have failed and the chirping "bips" could be the hdd trying to unpark the heads which may be stuck.
if that fails, try running a hard drive diagnostic.

I tried, but as mentionned in the title but forgot to say in the description, the screen stays balck and there is nothing coming up. I tried connecting another screen to see if it was the screen that was damaged, but nothing it stays black too, it doesn't even turn on.

Well, looks like the video/graphic card is down. Sounds weird. I wonder how it could happen after 3 days. Do you have any idea on how it could have happened? I'm curious, the guy I went to didn't know.
