   I have been having a problem with my new laptop ever since I bought it a short time ago. Any time that the laptop goes to sleep, hibernates, or restarts, it will not accept the password upon coming back on. If I shut it off completely and waited long enough, it would come back on as normal and accept the password.
   I have also noticed that normally when the system comes up, the number lock is turned on. Every time that I get locked out, the number lock has been turned off and I have to manually turn it back on. I don't know if this could have something to do with the problem.
   I created a second standard user account yesterday. Now I can not get into the administrator account at all and if I try to download something on the standard account, it will not accept the administrator password. I KNOW that the password is correct.
   Any help would be GREATLY appreciated as I am effectively locked out of my brand new computer.

   This really hurts that you are unable to use your new laptop to the core.Well the scenario looks as if the user account(admin account) is disabled/corrupted,so inorder to get back to admin is quite difficult however there is an option of recovery in ACER with which you can reset the total computer setings and create a new one.Try doing a recovery pressing alt+f10 continously when you try to turn on the computer.Note:Always try to take suggestions from experts(ACER technical support) which could help to fix the issue.
   Happy troubleshooting..

   Look like you got a bios problem there. Try updating the bios to latest one.
