When running on battery power, if my Acer Aspire One (running Linpus Linux Lite v1.0.3.E) goes into sleep mode, afterwards the "shutdown" and "restart" buttons are greyed out. I can continue working, but the only way to shut down is by holding the power button.
    What is going on?

Check your power options. You may have the power options set to "sleep" on battery power

I went to Kpowersave from the settings menu and removed all instructions to do anything except shutdown at critical level. Before it was set to "standby" at 7%.
I'll see what happens now. Thanks for you input.
I can't find power options anywhere else. I'm trapped in this linpus interface and unfamiliar with linux. I did manage to get Skype working well and got all the preloaded games off. That's about my limit.
If this doesn't cure it, I give up.
This problem is irritating but not life threatening.

    try this:
    ------------------------------------------
    open File manager
    CTRL+H = view hidden files
go to cache folder and delete all files
    /mnt/home/.cache/sessions
    reboot

    Success!
    Thanks, alvarozz.
I don't understand it, but that worked beautifully.
