Cinedash volume disconnected

    Hello

I have a 6920 which is just over a year old. I have had similar problems to a few other members in terms of acer arcade deluxe blocking Windows on start up and the cinedash becoming unresponsive however the fixes of removing the battery and not touching the cinedash pad after selecting shutdown have worked until now.

Last week the touchpad became unresponsive for the first time in months so I removed the battery etc and now everything works except the volume - it's almost as if it has been disconnected from the speaker control.

The blue lights come on or off as I touch the pad but the volume does not change and has to be controlled via Windows. The other functions on the cinedash including the mute button work so I'm very confused.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

    Thanks in advance
    Amanda :)

The mute button works and the volume control lights show a trail but does not control the volume. So, to begin with, check if reinstalling the Audio driver solves the problem.

    Hello

I reinstalled the driver but the panel is still not working as it should.

To test it I set the volume to 100 then used the panel to turn it down. Only the first three bars on the trail were lit (which usually takes the volume to 5 - 15 in Windows). The volume reduced to 98.

I turned it back up using the trail and it went back to 100 when the entire trail was lit but now doesn't change at all using the cinedash.

Just to confirm the other functions are still okay.

    Thanks for your help :)

Check out the thread on this forum titled 'Aspire 5612 Volume Buttons not working' below. See if the solution there helps.

Thank you so much....reinstalling the launch manager seems to have done the trick!
