Crystal eye and MSN
(2 posts)-
My Aspire 6920 acer crystal eye camera works fine it seems, I can take pics with it and see myself and the backgorund, but when I try to send my webcam to contacts on MSN it worked fine up until a few weeks back, now it just shows a camera with a red x on it?
When I check on video set up on MSN it seems to be ok?
Any solutions?

Hello Dmac47,
First I would confirm the settings in the MSN options and confirm that the crystal eye is actually chosen as the capture device for MSN.
Then I would install another program that uses camera and see if that program can pick up the camera. If that program does then I know there's a MSN configuration problem. I would recommend to uninstall and re-install the MSN software - Also to make sure you install a newer version.I would then uninstall and re-install the Acer Crystal Eye....

Sometimes, systems tend to get picky : When one application uses a device like that, another can't use it at the same time. See if you don't have another program that makes use of the camera when you try to use MSN.
