    Hi All,

I have an Aspire 5920 that was shut down part-way though a BIOS update so is basically bricked at this point. I have on the other hand read several posts on other websites that suggest that it's possible to recover from this fault by booting from a CD containing the BIOS ROM and holding ctrl & esc keys while booting. I have tried this method without success so far but I do think there's a possible fix in there somewhere. I left the BIOS filename as it was when extracted from the zipfile downloaded from the Acer support site (ZD13813.wph) Does anyone know if this needs to be renamed?

I also found a reference to recovery by use of something called Boot Block Function here.. http://support.acer-euro.com/documents/reports/bootblock.html
Sounds like another possible fix but it doesn't tell me where to find the Boot Block jumper on any board let alone mine. Can anyone here offer any input?
