   I have Acer Aspire 6935g bought here in Russia,changed Os to Vista 32bit English version.Have Power DVD9 Ultra and Acer Arcade Delux.andSony Optiarc BD Rom BC-5500s.OEM Computer locks up when trying to play Bluray Discs.I have been in consultaion with everyone but can't find a solution.I used a program called Discinfo whch reports on status of player, in the report its shows Status=Not Set, Current Region=Not Set,User Changes=5 , Vendor Changes=4, In Device Manager it shows the region set as 5 (Russia)when I try to reset the region and press OK nothing happens , has anyone got any ideas of how I can solve this problem?I can't update Player because its OEM ,if I bought and installed a new Cd player would this help if so which player would you recommend

   Try watching the movie by using the VLC media player. If memory serves it has a drive override built into it and it covers almost any file type out there. If that doesn't work give DVD genie a try or DVD region-free.
