Sound issue

    Hello All,

Several months ago I purchased an Acer Aspire 6935g laptop. It's an awesome machine and does everything I want it to do and especially shines when used for gaming.

One slight problem though; every now and then the sound gets distorted. It happens without warning and then suddenly there is this sort of robotic quality to the sound. Although that has it moments, it gets rather annoying after a minute.

On the grand scale, I can live with it since I normally use external speakers and it only happens once in a while (not every day). Also, by either waiting for a few minutes or restarting my laptop, the problem is solved (for the moment)

Hence the question is; anyone familiar with my little problem? Possible solutions?

    Thanks!

if it only happens with the internal speakers i would say maybe one of the speakers is failing.

or the speaker is distorting due to audio it cannot handle.

either way, i would try updating the audio driver just to be safe. should have a realtek hd audio.

    Hello Techiediva,

Thanks for your reply. You may be right when you say the speaker can't handle the audio since I have this feeling it only happens when there is a lot of treble involved.

Eitherway, I'll update my audio drivers to see if it makes a difference.

    Thanks!

I think youve hit the limitations of the small speakers, for some models there are custom audio drivers to lower the gain of the volume, but i gues you could also do this youre self with some minor tweaking.
