    hi,

the sound quality is fine when i only use one program.

    What model? what OS version?

Try updating the audio and VGA driver, this could solve problems like this.

    1. Volume could be turned up too high.

    2. You can go to the manufacturer's website of the sound chip in your computer to check and see if they have an updated version of the driver. It's probably Realtek.

    3. Be sure you have all your Windows updates from http://www.microsoftupdates.com .

    4. If you're using speakers they may be faulty. Does it happen with headphones too? What about with the speakers disconnected running on just the laptop's internal speakers?

If I think of anything else I'll let you know.

naa its not the volume or the speakers as it is fine until i start another program thats when it gets distorted.

i check for updates on my drivers weekly an have it set up to auto check.

its realy random, never heard of it happening.

its just realy wierd how it sounds fine an has realy good quailty untill i start another program an it all goes distorted.

Mine goes to pot when I have it set to low power profiles. I tried every driver combination possible and nothing fixed a crackly noise when programs and flash was running. Also flash was all laggy. It was like the processor or hard disk activity was getting amplified somehow.

So I set it to medium or high power settings and all is well. I think I might have gone to advanced settings and messed with some of those but cant remember which ones.

Annoying fix but a fix all the same lol
