   Hello,

   I have laptop ASPIRE 8940G , still with
   original video driver version 187.25 for video card.

   What concerns me is Acer Update doesnt
   seem to have a NEW driver for the
   geforce 250M Card. However, Nvidia
   seems to have released a 197. version.
   I guess I will try that 197. and see
   if any improvement. Currently
   I have NO CUDA functioning, and some
   {not too often} web pages have a weird look.

   go to http://www.laptopvideo2go.com and use their drivers and see how things go for you.

   Is that a stock nvidia driver, or do
   they add something?

   They change the .inf file so that the regular drivers will install on laptop cards. As well the drivers from Nvidia's website should work fine for you as well.
