Some time ago I tried the MyLaunch program which is installed as part of the Acer Bio Protection suite. As far as I can tell, it simply runs Internet Explorer, but lock out changing Bio Protection system settings.

Presumably it does have some actual benefit. Can someone tell me what the program actually does or where the documentation may be found?

After reading a few new Acer laptop descriptions it looks like it may be the new name for the launch manager. Which would control the touch buttons, etc. in your laptop.

@Peter. If it is, that's not the version I'm asking about.

The MyLaunch program I mean appears to simply launch Internet Explorer, but while running this version, the Bio Protection system settings cannot be opened. Presumably the program does something else, but I haven't found any documentation on what that is. Does it block websites? Improve caching? Something else? SInce I don't know what it does, I don't see any point using it, but wondoer if there's some feature which may be useful (otherwise, why does Acer supply it).

I have got a reply from ACer, but it simply says that they only support hardware and not software. This is ridiculous. If Acer supply the software, they should at least explain what it does and indicate where the documentation is!

Looks like we're waiting on Acer to get back to us on this one. I don't have the program so I can't look into it. Sorry man.
