    Hi All,

I do hope someone can help!

I have recently purchased an Aspire 5735 in the UK. The webcam 'Crystal Eye' didn't work at first and looking at forums has shown me that many people have problems with their Acer webcams.

I downloaded something (I can't even remember what!) which made it work for one day then again, it wouldn't work. I get the message 'camera no found'.

Does anyone know what I can download to make it work for good?! There seem to be so many different drivers that I am really confused. On the Acer site there doesn't even seem to be the option to download drivers for the 5735. I did even reset the PC to factory settings hoping this would work but it didn't.

I would really appreciate it if someone coudl help me get my webcam to work.

    Many thanks and Merry Christmas,
    Adrian.

There are drivers available for the Acer 5735 on the acerpanam support website at:

    http://www.acerpanam.com/synapse/forms/portal20.cfm?website=AcerPanAm.com&siteid=7117&areaid=2&formid=3394#results

I know the page says 5335 but that's the link. There are two different webcam drivers there for each of the 2 possible webcams. Be sure to download both peices of software for your webcam.

If you aren't sure if you have the suyin or bison webcam try one first, if it works great! If not then the second should work. Be sure to uninstall all drivers and software related to your webcam before you install the software linked to above.

Hi AdrianWalton, please let us know the results.

I also have 5315 laptop (my brother's actually) that until now the webcam is not working on XP.

You could always get your brother to try and download the drivers and software as well and let us know Ferry. ;)

I did with all drivers released on around June 08 but no luck on XP.
When I installed them the system won't shutdown correctly.

Since the laptop currently stores important files, I cannot do experiment with it :)
