   Hi all

   I am currently concidering buying the aspire 5935g, which comes with windows vista, which i hate. It will qualify for the windows 7 upgrade for free.

   I was wondering how easy it is to upgrade to windows 7 if i do not touch the laptop until i recieve my windows 7 disc?

   Will the acer software still work as new?

   Does anyone recommend formating the hard drive and starting again?

   I did an upgrade with the CD key they sent. (no format). The upgrade package, also comes with extra drivers, and some software like powerdvd. Most of the software that was there on vista still worked on 7 for me, although I did experience some issues (see my article).
