   I have 3 flavors of XP when I load any using an external drive the network connections do not load and the Ethernet controller has the yellow icon on it.How do I get the Ethernet controller and the network connections to install.

   What Acer model?
   Do you still run the acer windows version?
   Is this a acer related problem?
   I gues its pure software/driver related, try to install the correct drivers first, or give more details about your problem, so we get the picture...
