As an avid XP fan i am wondering if anyone has attempted to out XP on the 8920g? I have the 2.5gig model with the TV card etc, and would much preffer to have XP on it, but i'm concerned as to whether i'll be able to find all the drivers needed, a first glance seems like maybe i wont? Your thoughts are greatly appreciated, thanks

Well there are no "offical" drivers for the 8920G. An observant person would look to something like the 5920G for XP drivers. You may not find everything but you'll probably find a good few of them.

Just go to acer's website and search for 5920G drivers. There are a bunch of XP ones.

Be warned (I chose that word deliberately) that ..."XP has not been tested on the Aspire 8920, and cinedash was designed to run under Vista, so it could be that with XP there are limitations." This from Simone in Acer...

The page you need to visit for all the drivers etc. is http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/notebook/as_8920G.html

Then, make sure you follow Peter's advice by reading how we did it on the 5920...
