I have an Aspire 7520 laptop and the place where you connect the power supply to the computer is loose and may be partially broken internally. At the moment it is just about impossible to get power to the computer. This seems like a flaw in the design as it is probably caused by people puting the computer on their laps while working on it and thereby causing straing on the part. Anyway, Is there a recommended way of fixing this?
I'd rather not create more toxic waste when all that is wrong is a $0.20 part.
    Thanks

The part you can actually get off of ebay for around $0.65 its the labor that makes it a pain you have to pretty much take the entire laptop apart just to get at the connection point, and to be honest if you have no soldering experience its better to have someone do it for you. Most tech repair places will charge around $80 to do the repair. Their guaranty well thats a different story.
