Acer Liquid – a new benchmark

I’m going to go on record here by saying that the Acer Liquid is more than a valid alternative to the iPhone. It’s just as slick, has a better screen resolution, and if anything is slightly faster, but the killer is the Android Marketplace which lets you set it up just the way you want it, which means I’m still Tweeting and Shazamming but I’m also chatting on Gtalk and Skype while getting live updates on my friends’ Social Network sites. What’s more the Acer Liquid multi-tasks unlike the iPhone and some of the simple but oh-so-geeky apps available free of charge mean I have a much better chance of the battery lasting all day unlike it’s flashier rival. Rival? It costs between €150-€200 /$220-$300) more than the Acer Liquid…

Here’s an interesting test I’ve never seen done and had to have explained before I got it. The video is called “HTC HD2 Vs Acer neoTouch – Coreplayer BENCHMARK” and reading the comments, it appears that “Both the devices are extremely fast in rendering videos. Acer is a little bit faster.” So now you know…
OK guys, trust me. This is the phone you’ve been waiting for. For those of you disappointed with the neoTouch, Acer is about to launch the perfect solution. We went through dozens of names before senior management gave us the OK for Liquid which we all really like. If any of you are curious as [...]

C’mon, you know we’re R&B kings at Acer. Yeah, you can feel our soul through the corporate website I know – we’re just oozing rhythm and soul. You see an Acer and the first thing you think of is MTV music awards…
All joking aside, the marketing company helping Acer in the USA obviously has some pretty cool contacts and for the first time, we’ve had products placed in a music video.

Just found this on YouTube and had to post it.
PhoneArena has posted an amazingly in-depth review of the dual sim card Tempo DX900 smartphone from Acer.
As the side info says, the Tempo DX900 is the first and currently, the only Windows Mobile dual-sim phone.

Have any of you guys seen the Acer smartphone video I found over on Engadget? Recorded at the launch last week in Barcelona it really shows off the widget interface. The other really interesting story about the Tempo smartphone is the news that Aymar de Lencquesaing, President of Acer’s Smart Handheld Business Unit, is hammering [...]

You gotta be kidding me… We made it onto Engadget?? OK, for like a few hours only (Obama’s super secret Blackberry showed us the door) but Acer was there. I saw it and if you didn’t now’s your chance.
This is alleged to be on the list of devices about to be announced by Acer on the 16th February at the Mobile World Congress cellphone event in Barcelona.
Well I can tell you that…

OK. Here’s a twist on my 9 to 5…
Before any of you post this to Engadget or Digg this is all hypothetical. Sort of.
As many of you know, this year Acer bought a bunch of amazing companies. Gateway, Packard Bell and the one they haven’t yet used, E-Ten.
Smarter than you think.

And what does anyone make of this story…?
Has anyone connected the dots yet?
It’s official all right. I should know… I wrote the press release!
